Regional Loan Corporation was formed in 1978 to stimulate economic development and foster job creation by collaborating with economic development organizations, government agencies and financial institutions to provide non-conventional funding sources for small and minority-owned businesses.
EDA (Economic Development Administration) LED (Louisiana Economic Development) – Asset purchases (land and buildings, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures) – Plant construction, expansion or leasehold improvements (some restrictions apply) – Inventory – Working capital and professional fees EDA/LED Loan Advantages: – Loan amounts from $25,000 to $250,000 – Fixed interest rates with five to ten year repayment terms, longer on real estate – Minimal equity requirements – Subordinate collateral positions acceptable
