It is the intent of the County of Knox, Nebraska to establish a revolving loan fund for the economic development within the community to provide financial assistance to businesses for fixed asset acquisition.
The monies for this revolving fund shall be derived from program income received through a Community Development Block Grant awarded to the County by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
All projects funded must be the creation or retention of jobs which benefit lower income persons.
The County of Knox’s purpose in establishing a revolving loan fund is to encourage economic development activity within the community through the creation of new businesses and the expansion and/or retention of existing businesses.
Monies from this fund will not be used to refinance existing debt.
