The EDI Loan Program assists eligible businesses with funding up to $300,000 for acquisition, new construction, equipment and/or working capital financing in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The main goal of the EDI Loan Program is to increase access to capital and credit for businesses and entrepreneurs, and to provide employment and business opportunities for individuals from low-to-moderate income households.
FUND AMOUNT $800,000 (Non-Revolving) ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES – Real Estate purchase – New construction of commercial and industrial buildings – Rehabilitation of commercial and industrial buildings – Purchase and installation of equipment and fixtures – Utility and road infrastructure improvements – Refinancing of existing debt (as part of a new project creating new job opportunities) – Financing of working capital accounts – Inventory Financing – Any other CDBG-eligible activity approved by the Loan Committee INELIGIBLE BUSINESSES – Business involved in speculation – Not-for-profit Corporations – Gambling Activities – Bars and Taverns – Lending or Investment Companies – Restaurants with less than 70% gross food sales – Real Estate Promotion/Developers – Used Car Businesses – Clothing/Specialty Stores
