As one of eleven Regional Development Corporations in New Hampshire, the GCEDC helps small businesses find the financing they need in order to grow and create jobs.
The GCEDC has several secondary loan funds to finance a wide variety of business needs, including working capital, equipment and real estate.
Loans are usually provided in coordination with private sector lenders.
Community Development Block Grants- This program (also referred to as ‘CDBG’) provides federal funds to local governments.
They, in turn, distribute these funds as loans to job-creating businesses.
Funds must be used to create jobs, mainly for people from a low to moderate income background.
In Grafton County, municipalities and the county use the GCEDC as a manager of these loan funds.
USDA Rural Development Intermediate Relending Program (IRP)- The GCEDC relends federal funds that it receives in order to assist job creating businesses.
