The Iowa Able Loan Program seeks to increase home-based employment and self-employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities across the State of Iowa.
All individuals with disabilities who plan to start or are expanding a business are welcome to apply.
Allowable uses for business loans include the purchase of equipment, inventory, operating capital for start up businesses (excluding wages), rent, marketing, expenses, or other expenses critical to the operation of the business.
Unallowable uses of Iowa Able business loans includes the purchase of real estate, speculative real estate businesses, and businesses deemed illegal in the state of Iowa by the Iowa Attorney General.
