The City of Milwaukee Wisconsin’s Façade Grant program provides financial and business assistance to businesses and commercial property owners interested in renovating the street faces of their buildings.
The program was established by DCD to increase the physical appearance of Milwaukee’s commercial areas.
Reimbursement shall be limited to no more than 50% of the total cost of eligible improvements, not to exceed $5,000 per storefront.
Larger buildings with more than one storefront and/or more than one side visible (on a corner) may be considered for a larger grant on a case by case basic by the Façade Grant Committee.
All necessary government approvals, building permits and taxes are not eligible items for reimbursement.
Any projects totaling less than $2,000 are not eligible.
