The WCDA has established a Business Incentive Program (BIP) which will offer low-interest loans to Winneconne, Wisconsin businesses to improve the physical characteristics of their Main Street building.
Through the use of these funds, the central business community should see an improved business image, increased values and ultimately make the central business community a physically improved business district.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Any business owner or tenant located in the target area.
The target area is located between (east to west) Second Avenue to Third Street.
HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Individual project funding will depend on the fund balance at the time of the application and the committee evaluation of the application.
WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF THE LOAN?
There is a $30.00 non-refundable processing fee.
The term of the loan is to be determined.
The annual interest is 3%.
WHAT PROJECTS CAN BE DONE WITH THESE FUNDS?
The loans are for physical capital improvements to the structure such as siding, windows, doors, signage, awnings, exterior lighting, etc.
WHAT PROJECTS CAN NOT BE DONE WITH THESE FUNDS?
Funds may not be used for roofs, sidewalks, parking lots, interior repairs, non-permanent structures, personal property, residential uses, to purchase equipment or as working capital.
