The Rural Micro-Loan Program is designed to finance and facilitate development of small and emerging private business enterprises in rural areas of Texas.

Rural counties, as defined by the U.

Department of Agriculture (USDA) who capitalized the program, include Armstrong, Briscoe, Carson, Castro, Childress, Collingsworth, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Donley, Gray, Hall, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham, Parmer, Roberts, Sherman, Swisher and Wheeler Counties.

These business loans can be used for remodeling, improvements, purchase of land, buildings, equipment, furniture and fixtures, as well as working capital and gap financing.

The PRPC Rural Micro-Loan Program encourages capital investment in order to promote new job creation and prevention of job losses.
