The LeMoyne-Owen College Community Development Corporation in collaboration with the Center for Entrepreneurship offers a Micro Loan Program.

The revolving Micro Loan Program provides small loans to micro businesses within the LeMoyne-Owen college community and the Greater Shelby County area.

The program comes with the package of technical assistance to business owners and training in various areas leading entrepreneurs to business success.

PRIME (Program for Investment in Micro Enterprise act) is a grant program funded by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA).

The LeMoyne-Owen Community Development Corporation (LOCCDC) was one of the 69 organizations in 28 states funded to provide training and technical assistance to disadvantaged micro entrepreneurs.

A large majority of the PRIME participants and recipients lack sufficient training and education to gain access to establish or expand their business, which is what makes this program vital to the economic development of the community that the LOCCDC services.

Part of our mission is to empower small business owners with the knowledge necessary for them to build sustaining business that will in turn grow the community through employment and a sense of ownership and pride.
