The Heartland Economic Development Loan Program (HELP) Fund promotes community development in customer communities through a revolving loan fund.

It provides funds for business ownership and expansion, job creation and retention, and entrepreneurial enterprises.

The HELP Fund fosters growth and economic stability by offering an interest rate typically lower than traditional rates and up to 10 years financing for land, buildings and permanent fixtures.

Applicants may also receive financing for up to 10 years or the useful life for machinery and equipment.

Loans will not exceed $150,000 or 75% of the total project coSt. To date, Heartland has awarded nearly $3.7 million in HELP loans to more than 10 recipients.

The funds have contributed to infrastructure improvements, regional preparations for growth, new business investments, and more.

Heartland customers, their local economic development corporations and businesses served by our customers are eligible to apply.
