Designed to dress up storefronts in the downtown historic district, this grant program includes improvements of visible exterior components for buildings located in the TIF #1 District.

Eligible work items include: – Painting – Tuck Pointing – Sealing – Wall Cleaning – Wall Coverings – Doors and Doorways – Shutters – Awnings – Canopies – Signage – Guttering – Windows – Stairs – Walkways – Perennial Landscaping and Plantings – Chimneys – Cornices – Parapets – Bulkheads – Fascias – Lighting Entire ground floor of structure must be devoted to commercial use to be eligible, plus the property must be reasonably maintained for 5 years following the completion of the facade work.

Financial Requirements – Minimum total project eligible for City participation is $1,000.00. – City share of project will be equal to 1/2 of total exterior project costs or $12,500.00, whichever is less.

– Owner/Applicant must document existence and/or financial sources of 1/2 of total project costs.
