The City of Fresno offers two revolving loan funds for businesses in Fresno, California.
Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Provides capital access to businesses unable to finance an entire “project” through conventional bank financing.
The RLF allows the use of funds for working capital, equipment, and/or real estate purchases.
This loan is targeted to qualify for-profit businesses located within the City.
The typical deal is structured with the RLF providing up to one-third of a project financing (RLF amount not to exceed $150,000).
There is a job creation requirement of one job for every $35,000 loaned from the RLF.
Hometown Entrepreneur Loan Program (HELP) The Hometown Entrepreneur Loan Program (HELP) provides loans up to $50,000 for working capital and equipment financing, where conventional bank financing is not an option.
This loan program is targeted to qualified for-profit businesses located in the City of Fresno Empowerment Zone, Enterprise Zone, HUB Zone, or low-to-moderate income census tracts.
The HELP loan program has no job creation requirement.
