The SEARP&DC Rural Business Enterprise Grant/Microloan Revolving Loan Fund Program is a locally controlled source of capital used to finance startup and expanding businesses or entrepreneurial projects in rural areas of Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston Counties.
This loan is a direct loan program with loans available from $4,000 to $10,000.
Eligible businesses include:
– Small Manufacturing Companies and service related companies
– New and emerging industries and new technologies that have a uniqueness that will add value to the regional rural economy
– Other businesses that may help a rural community improve its development potential and where such assistance is requested by the community’s governing body
Eligible uses of funds:
– Construction, expansion, renovation, modernization or development costs
– Purchase of equipment, machinery & supplies
– Provide for permanent working capital
